Product Description
- All cable prot ectors are designed to protect cables laid on the ground and prevent tripping hazards for visitors, spectators, and event organizers. To ensure this objective is met, please follow the safety instructions below when using the cable protectors:
- Cable protectors must be used exclusively according to the specified application and load capacity.
- Cable protectors are designed for use on solid, level ground.
- The specified load capacity is only achieved when the ground is solid and level. On uneven or deformable surfaces, the load capacity may decrease significantly.
- In public areas, sidewalks, etc., additional warning signs or special permits may be required.
Important
- DO NOT modify the product. Modifications can alter the product’s characteristics, reduce protection, and void the warranty.
- DO NOT use as a bridge over trenches, pits, steps, or similar holes.
- DO NOT place pallets, scaffolding, beams, or similar items on the cable protectors.
- DO NOT run rigid gas pipes inside the cable protectors.
- DO NOT install cables with a voltage >500 V in the cable protectors.
- The cable channels should be filled to a maximum of 70% up to the bottom of the cover.
Safety Instructions
To prevent the cable protector from becoming a tripping hazard:
- Connect the cable protectors to form a closed line.
- Ensure the connectors are securely fitted.
- Check the proper functioning of the cover in each installation.
- Make sure the cover is properly fitted when closed.
- Keep the hinge and locking areas clean.
- Remove excess lubricant after maintaining the hinges.
Care and Maintenance
- All cable protectors are made from durable vulcanized rubber. They can be cleaned easily, even with a steam cleaner. To ensure proper operation, the hinge and locking areas should be kept clean and lubricated periodically with Teflon or silicone spray. Clean any excess lubricant to avoid accidents.
Assembly
- The cable protectors are easy and safe to assemble. They are designed to prevent injury. Protectors weighing less than 20 kg can be carried by one person, while those over 20 kg should be carried by two people. Each protector comes with joining and fixing parts for connecting multiple cable protectors. The lines are stable and support pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
Load Capacity
- The specified load capacity is only achieved on firm, level ground. On uneven surfaces, testing for resistance is recommended. Our cable protectors guarantee the load capacity when used properly and without modifications.
Additional Applications
- Cable protectors protect low-voltage hoses and cables (up to 500 V). They are not suitable for rigid gas pipes. Ensure that delicate cables inside the protectors are kept away from the sides and the cover. The user is responsible for the method of cable installation.
Cable Installation
- Once the cable protector is installed, you can open the hinged covers, which automatically lock into their final position. After installing the cables, close the cover to prevent accidental opening.
